Scrolls SMP Tierlist Rubric

Scrolls SMP Tierlist Rubric

Below is the current and official rubric of the Scrolls SMP tierlist. Read everything carefully before your test so you do not make any mistakes.

Definitions

  • "FT" means "first to". FT3 means the fight ends when one player wins 3 rounds.
  • "Eval" is a fight against someone of your current tier. Passing it unlocks the fight for the next tier.
  • "High test" is every test for A- or higher. Everything up to B is a normal test.
  • "Equal" means both players won the same number of rounds.
  • "Equal ping" means both players are within about 35 ms of each other.
  • Scores in the results are written tester - player.
  • Tiers from lowest to highest: Unranked, F, D, C, B, A-, A, A+, S-, S, S+.

Evaluation Tests (Unranked to B)

  • Your tester does not only look at the score, but at how you play.
  • We only test in EU. If you live somewhere else, tell your tester about your ping.
  • Stay at your PC while you are in the queue. If you do not answer within 10 minutes after your ticket opens, it closes and you have to join again.
  • Normal tests are FT3 against your tester.
  • The highest tier from a normal test is B.
  • If a player lags out, the round is replayed. Running away on purpose loses the round.

Process

  • Verify your account and click Enter Waitlist in the testing channel.
  • When a tester opens the queue, you are pinged in the waitlist channel. Click Join Queue when you are ready.
  • When it is your turn, a ticket opens and your tester tells you the server.
  • After the fight you get your tier, the ticket closes and the result is posted.

Ranked Rubric

General Tier Testing Rules

The tier tester has the authority to approve or reject any player during tier evaluations. To ensure fairness, minimize bias, and accurately assess each player's skill level, all evaluations must be conducted under consistent conditions.

Before advancing to the next tier, each player must pass an evaluation (Eval) by fighting someone within their current tier. This ensures that players demonstrate the required skill level before challenging for a higher rank.

S-A Tier Rubric

The S and A tiers are divided into sub-tiers.

  • S Tier: S+, S, S-
  • A Tier: A+, A, A-

To qualify for A-S tier testing, a player must either defeat their tester or perform equally well against them. Players must demonstrate that their skill level meets the requirements of the tier they are attempting to achieve. Each player must pass an Eval against someone of their current tier before challenging for the next tier.

B-F Tier Rubric

B-F tier rankings are determined by the tester based on the player's overall performance, ability, and demonstrated skill level. The tester has the final say in determining the player's placement within these tiers.

Important Reminder

Your tier is not determined by how many rounds you win, but by how you play. Focus on demonstrating your skill, consistency, decision-making, and overall performance rather than simply winning rounds. All evaluations must be conducted fairly and without bias to ensure that every player receives an accurate and appropriate tier placement.

High Tier Tests (A- and higher)

  • You need to be at least B to test for A-. Players with A- or higher get a high test ticket.
  • โžœ Eval: beat someone of your current tier in a FT5.
  • โžœ Tier fight: beat your tester or go equal against them in a FT5. Only a won or equal fight gives you the new tier.
  • If you lose the tier fight, you fail the test and keep your tier.
  • Results of A- and higher are also posted in the high results channel.

Choosing Servers

  • You have to test on a verified server:
  • โญ pvphq.com (Priority)
  • ๐ŸŸข eu.mcpvp.club
  • Want to test somewhere else? Enter it as Preferred server in the waitlist form with a reason. Your tester decides.
  • Once both players agreed on a server, the scores are final.

Cooldown

  • Players may retake a normal test (B-F) every 7 days.
  • Players may retake a high test (A- and higher) every 14 days.
  • The cooldown ends by itself. Check yours with View Cooldown or /tier.

Demotions

  • Staff can demote players on request or for breaking the rules in the tierlist rules.
  • Your highest tier ever is saved as your Peak Tier and shown in /tier.

Miscellaneous Information

  • Cracked accounts are not allowed to test. You need a premium account.
  • Both players must say they are ready before each round.
  • Do not abuse the map, attack before your opponent moved or stall (towering, water flooding, running).
  • AFK, lag or disconnect after damage was dealt: the round goes to the other player. Leaving for 15+ minutes in the middle of a test counts as a loss.
  • If a player drops their weapon at the start of a round, the other player gives it back.
  • FPS optimizers are allowed. Mods that give an advantage are not (see the tierlist rules).
  • If you lose access to your account, DO NOT test on another one. Open a ticket in support.
  • The interpretation of these rules is up to the tierlist staff.
